Happy Memorial!

What a weekend! It all started bright and early Saturday morning. We drove to the University of Utah where Hayden was "hooded" and awarded his Master's Degree from the UofU School of Medicine. I cried several times (real shocker I know). It was SO awesome! I was proud beyond explanation. Even though he technically doesn't graduate until August 8th, they make them all walk at the same time. It was optional, and of course the proud (and stubborn) wife that I am, made him do it! He really didn't want to, but afterwards was very glad her did. We headed to Cafe Rio for some lunch with our parents. What a great time! We then headed down to Cleveland to work on the house. We got A LOT done and it's starting to look like home. Carpet was installed and they are working on our glass enclosure for the shower. We then got to see our sweet baby Kaicee for the first time. Talk about ADORABLE! She makes all sorts of cute faces with her mouth and tongue. She is SUCH a sweet and good baby. She only wimpers a little when she is hungry. I found myself starring at her for hours. It was so fun to see Daine with his little girl. What a good daddy! The best moment was watching Hayden love on her. It made us SO excited for our little one. Anyway, we can't wait to see Kaicee again (and Daine and Steph!) Here is a recent pic of her. As soon as I get the grad pics, I will post them. Pictures of the house will come after we clean and MOVE INTO our house this weekend! WOOOO HOOOO! All for now, Kelly

4 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Today, Hayden and I have been married 4 awesome years! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! WOW! 4 years ago, at this very moment, I received a rose from a close neighbor with a note attached. The rose was from Hayden and the note had a reason why he loved me. He continued to have a rose delivered to me every hour on the hour all day. Each with a reason why he loved me. He gave me the last rose when I saw him for the first time that day at the temple. It was such an awesome day!!! I always get those 12 notes out and read them on our anniversary. I was so sad to realize that they are packed away in Cleveland :(. This day always makes me teary. Right now, I can't see the computer screen because my eyes are welled with tears. The greatest blessing God has ever given me was the gift of Hayden. No words can describe my gratitude and immense gratefulness for him. We have been through so much and accomplished more than I could have ever imagined together. And the greatest accomplishment was our constant faith and prayers for a baby. What a miracle and blessing we have received! Happy Anniversary Hayd; your suga' mama loves you more than I can describe!

My cup runneth over...

Have I ever stated before that I'm in deeply in love with my husband? Sometimes, you get caught up in life and you forget how lucky you are to have them. You know, moving, pregnancy, jobs, schooling, etc etc.... Well, this weekend, I was reminded SEVERAL times how lucky I am to have my husband. Hayden has been in Denver for the past month. Grad school has had us seperated on more than one occasion, but we were always within driving distances so I only had to survive 4 days without seeing him. This rotation was a bit different. This weekend when he returned I found myself gazing at him several times and thinking how lucky I am to have him. Butterflies and all. It was like the newlywed feeling all over again. Anyway, I just wanted say "WOOOO HOOOO!" He's home for good and I'm SO HAPPY!

Nordy's

Today I had the rare opportunity to visit my beloved Nordy's. Oh how I love it. When I walk in I feel like I've just leaped into Vogue magazine. The linens, the textiles, the patterns, the colors, the smells. It's heaven. Something about surrounding yourself with beautiful things makes you feel beautiful. I don't get to visit my Nordy's very often as graduate students (which = no money) don't really get the opportunity to splurge on a new bag, shirt, or the latest pumps. But it's refreshing just to walk through the store on occasion. I found myself wishing so badly that I could just shop. Buy some beautiful blouses, amazing trousers, and oh my- those stilettos. But what was even more beautiful was the afternoon lunch date I had with my dear Allie at the Nordy's Cafe. She is absolutely one of the most sweet, delightful, and giving persons I have ever met. As we sat and chatted and enjoyed our delicious salads, I had an epiphany. Usually, I only get these in the shower or in the car, but today must have been special. All those beautiful bags, shoes, clothes, accessories really don't mean crap. Really, it's crap. Just something to adorn myself with. What really matters is beautiful friends like Allie. I have so many wonderful and amazing friends out there and I would rather enjoy a relaxed lunch with any of them than be dressed in the fanciest sexiest pair of stilettos that I could find
Not only am I blessed and lucky to have amazing friends, I have an amazing family who I can't begin to describe my love for , and a stellar husband who is beyond explanation. Really, I wouldn't know where to start. I am so proud that I was dressed in my Target shoes and blouse and the pride of a wonderful man who works so tirelessly to provide and take care of me. The sacrifice of graduate school really ends up being no sacrifice at all. Not only are his worth ethics amazing, his love is even better. Nothing in this world could ever compare. Now Nordy's, please don't take offense. I still love you, and one day, I will shop your racks... but you will NEVER compare to the true blessings of an amazing husband, a wonderful family, and cherished friends.

20 Weeks... aka 5 Months.... aka HALF WAY! WOO WOO!!

Today I'm 20 weeks! Yea! What an awesome feeling! Danzer loves to kick in the morning and after I eat. It's so great to feel him kicking and swirling. It makes it so real.

We went to the Dr. on Monday and he said everything looks great and the ultrasound was perfect. He put the doppler on my belly and we heard the heartbeat immediatley. The doc said "such a good boy!" I couldn't agree more! I love him so much already. It's overwhelming!

Jammin'

Kristin came up stairs the other day after a good work out to find this.....

I guess her sisters had her jammin' out to the ipod. ROCK ON ROO!
