Happy Birthday Tanner!

Tanner's birhtday was Monday so we had a little celebration with some neighbor friends (well Kristin and Tanner's neighbor friends, although they are my friends now :)). Here are some pics from the evening!

Tanner is such an awesome brother-in-law. I am so BLESSED to have such an aweosme guy to call my brother. LOVE YOU TAN!

28.5 Things You May (or May Not) Know About Me

1. I love cliff jumping. Once, while in High School, I jumped off a cliff nearly 60 feet high with my friend Clint. What a rush!

2. I love restored cars. I love car shows, car parts, car swap meets, oldies music, and anything to do with muscle cars. Thank you dadd-i-o!

3. I don't do left overs. I know, a complete waste of food. Drives Hayden bonkers. But I can't do it.

4. I am a product junkie (hair product that is). No matter if I've tried it before, and I didn't like it, if it's in cute packaging, smells good, and intrigues me in the slightest way, I will buy it. I could donate hair products to the entire county of Emery and still have shampoo left over.

5. I had the biggest crush on John Stamos when I was little (still do, pathetic I know). I used to make my neighbor friends play wedding with me all the time. Of course I was the beautiful bride and my groom was John. Wow.

6. I can wiggle my ears. My nieces think it's the coolest thing ever. Hey, I'm a pretty cool aunt, what else can I say?

7. I love horror flicks. But thanks to Hayden, he won't let me watch them because I always have nightmares. I don't think I've seen a scary movie since college.

8. I don't own a single candle. I have extreme candle anxiety. For instance, I had a candle once that I lit on a Tuesday. Hayden and I went out of town the following Friday and the ENTIRE weekend I had extreme anxiety that I left the candle burning. I have obsessive anxiety over leaving candles burning. Therefore, Hayden and I threw out all my candles and have moved onto melted wax. I sleep (we sleep) much better now.

9. I have a cat named Woody. When I got him, he went straight to our wood pile and lived there for 3 days before ever coming out. So my dad named him Woody. At the time (I was 10) it was all good. My guy friends thought it was hilarious in high school. He's still kickin' and is older than dirt.

10. I love weddings. Anything wedding. Dresses, flowers, diamonds, traditions, drama, shoes, receptions, food, honeymoons, etc... I want to start a wedding planning business more than I can explain. I just don't think one in Emery County would thrive.

11. I have enormously long toes and feet. Gigantic. I actually can pick things up with my toes and pinch people. My favorite is to get ahold of Hayden's leg hair and pinch! Freakin' hilarious! Last week at the ultrasound the tech said "Wow, look at those long toes." WOOPS! Sorry son!

12. I've rode a scooter around Phuket, Thailand and have enjoyed the most beautiful sun set on the other side of the world. Looking for a romantic getaway? Thailand is it!

13. I took so much Zanex on the plane ride to Thailand I completely feel asleep for over 6 hours and woke up to a pool of drool on Hayden's shoulder. He just smiled at me. What a great hubby

14. I was born drinking Diet Coke. I love it. I love it in the morning, in the mid-morning, in the afternoon, at night, even as a midnight snack. It's been the HARDEST thing to give up since pregnancy (although, I must be honest and say that I do cheat and treat myself to one- non-caffeine though).

15. I knew who I was going to marry at the age of 10. It was confirmed even stronger at age 17. I can testify that a 10 year old can truly feel the "love" you have for your soul mate. I can't remember not being in love with Hayden.

16. When I was little, I was FREAKED out by tomato worms. Once, I found one on Tatum's shoulder and I was so freaked out I started crying. Tate: do you remember? They still give me the EEBIE JEEBIES. They are so fat, green, and the spots down the sides look like eyes. Seriously, I have goose bumps (goose flesh is the proper term, I paid 10 grand to learn that in hair school) just talking about it.

17. Lake Powell water runs in my veins. It's a Lake Powell thing. If you know what I mean, you REALLY know what I mean. If you don't, you will never get it. Powell is my favorite destination in the world. Enough said.

18. I fully, honestly, whole-heartedly look forward to labor and delivery. I think it's an AMAZING process and watching my sister go through it 3 times made me realize how much I wanted a baby. It amazes me that my body can take a cell from itself, a cell from Hayden, and can create a living, breathing, thriving human life. But, I'm boggled by this questions "Does the spirit enter the body at conception or birth?" I'd like to know your opinion so leave a comment!

19. After years of fighting, growing and learning together, I can honestly say that my sister is my best friend. It amazes me how close we have gotten in our older years. I admire her more than she will ever know.

20. I love theme parks. Disneyland, Six Flags, Knots Berry Farm, I love em all. Especially Disneyland. Last time I was there I cried. Yup, cried. I'm a cryer. It brought back this childhood feeling that was so amazing. I'm a dork! Get a life!

21. When at Lake Powell, I have visions of BIG FISH coming up from the depths of the blue water and biting my leg. Yet, I continue to swim for hours on end.

22. I don't do dishes. You know those special pots, pans, and knifes that you couldn't stick in the dishwasher when you were younger because mom said it would ruin them? News flash, it doesn't. I've used my dishwasher for ALL my pots, pans, and anything special my entire marriage. Going on 4 years here, not one pot ruined. I think it was a good excuse for manual labor. (Mom, thanks for making me do the dishes when I was younger and not letting me be a spoiled brat, even though I was mad at you at the time)

23. I could live in front of the TV if I let myself. TLC, HGTV, and A&E. Flip That House, have you seen it? All time favorite

24. Honestly, sometime I wonder if I could have married someone more opposite than me. Which is really a HUGE blessing. Otherwise, we would drive each other crazy if we were alike. But really, we are so opposite on so many things, which only adds flavor to our relationship.

25. At 17, I walked in on the high school football coach changing his clothes. I had gone in after school was out to re-take a test. I knocked, no one answered. I knocked again, no answer. I jiggled the hand and it turned so I thought, "I'll leave him a note that I wanted to re-take a test." I walked in and there he was, garmmies only, I was mortified. I cried the entire bus ride home. Weston Lemon kept asking me why I was so upset which just made me cry even harder.

26. I 100% think my parents are so freakin awesome. They rock. I couldn't have cooler parents. And for all of you out there, don't be jealous, but I SERIOUSLY lucked out in the in-law department! People still can't get over that I love them so much. We are truly blessed!

27. I love rap music. I'm admitting it. Don't ask me why. I just love it.

28. One time, in Vegas....

Now I tag ALL my blogger friends out there if you haven't already done this!

That ain't no etch-a-sketch, this is one doodle that can't be un-did home skillet!

Toast anyone? So yesterday was one of those BAD DAYS! Seriously, do you ever have those days where EVERYTHING goes wrong? Well, it started with me waking up late. I was almost ready for work and my stomach was on the fritz. I thought "I better have some toast before I yack." So I walked into the kitchen, threw a couple pieces of toast in the toaster, and walked back to my bedroom to get changed and make the bed. After I was completely ready, I got a whiff of something burning. I ran back into the kitchen to find it ENGULFED in smoke. Like, serious smoke. The toaster had broke, and wouldn't release the toast. I unplugged it and ran the toaster out to the back walk. I opened the doors and all the windows and used a towel to sweep the smoke out of the basement. It was horrible. Realizing I was going to be late for work, I ran upstairs and told my sis of the incident. I hopped in my car and I was off to work. Needless to say, my clothes, my hair, even my hands REEKED of smoke. It was the longest day at work. I stunk SO BAD. Not to mention, on the way to work, there was an accident on the freeway. So while sitting at a dead stop I decided to add a little powder to my nose. The compact broke and makeup went ALL OVER my black pants and the seat of my car. URGH! When I finally got home last night, I used vinegar and water to scrub the cupboards and floors, used baking soda on the carpets, and febreezed the heck out of the basement. It smells pretty fresh... but there is still that hint that will take a couple days to air out. After cleaning, I was dying for a shower so I hopped in. My sis, Tan, and the girls went to Rio for dinner. I stayed home (freshly out of the shower) and sat on the couch and cried. Yes, cried. I miss my husband and I felt SO BAD about the stinkin' toast. I am a disaster when at my sisters. I swear I always manage to ruin or break something. So I plugged in Juno (for any fans out there, the title of this blog will totally make sense to you) which put me in a MUCH better mood. Hey, burnt toast, I can live through. Being a knocked up 16 year old, now that's dramatic!

Hope you enjoyed the pics. The finished product pics will be posted in a month or so. We can't wait!

On another exciting note: I felt Danzer kick yesterday for the first time. I felt this little outward punch and then this swirling feeling that I have NEVER experienced before. It was like butterflies, it was CRAZY COOL! Hayden happened to call from Denver right after it happened and I was explaining it to him and he said "Yup, that was him for sure." I read in my What To Expect bible (thank you Tiffini!) that if you lay flat on your back for a second you will feel them so I laid on my back last night and he was going CRAZY! It was AWESOME! And more good news: Hayden gets to come home next week from Denver on Monday and Tuesday!!!! I can't WAIT to see him and let him feel the baby kick! So awesome!

Love to you all! Kelly

We're Back!

What a week! We've returned with aching muscles, sore backs, callused hands, and pure exhaustion... but man, our house is dang cute! We got so much done this last week. I forgot to take pics yesterday on our way out of town, but will take some this upcoming weekend and show you some before and afters. We cannot wait to move into our new house!

A couple big things are happening this week. Hayden leaves me on Saturday for a month :(. He's off to Denver for an ER rotation. Neither of us are very happy about it, but I can't wait for him to just go and get it over with! I haven't sprouted a pregnancy belly yet and am excited for him to come back because I will for sure be showing then. I am so grateful to be living with my sister during his time away. I will miss him so much but it will make it a lot easier to have her and my babes around.

Friday is the day that we find out what we are having. Can you guess what it is??? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. (i fixed my settings so anyone can comment). Winners will be posted :). I think this might be the longest week of my life!

All for now, Kelly

Bon Voyage!

Not that we are really going on a voyage or anything! Hayden and I are taking the next week off work/school to journey down to good ol' C-town to work our guts out on the remodel. Hayden is leaving for Denver soon and we thought it would be best to get as much done as possible. So instead of taking a relaxed vacation (which we both desperately need) we are off to sweat and sawdust! Yee haa!

I won't be posting or reading blogs... :(. I'm quite excited to see all my blogger friends updates when I get back. I'm taking my camera so you can see our work in progress. Yipee!

Love to all! The Behling's

Another Ollie Update

Ollie and my mom met with her Oncologist yesterday. Ollie says she's in love. Stars were flying. She is SOOOO funny, she makes me laugh so hard. Her doctor was so great with her and told her he would be with her the entire way. The news was good and bad.

Ollie's cancer is stage 2b (almost a 3) on a rating scale of 1-4. I guess the tumor removed was quite large and actually started on her skin outside the breast tissue. It migrated inwards to her breast and moved into her lymph nodes. He predicts the cancer was there over a year. Her treatment will be radiation for 5 weeks, every single day. She will also have to take medication. Although she is extremely healthy, he felt the chemo wasn't a good option for her. He said she had a GREAT chance at beating it. But, the sad news, it will inevitably return. He says anywhere from 2-8 years and they don't know where. He will be watching her very closely and help her fight. I am so grateful this doctor gave her hope. And a little spice :)

Last night, we went to dinner with her. She looked at my sister and I, and her girls and said "you've given me so much reason to fight and go on." and then she looked at me and said "especially September." It was one of the sweetest moments of my life and I will never forget it. We need her. My baby needs her. We love her more than I can explain.
