Life as a Mama....

Wow! That was the coolest experience I've ever had! Labor and delivery was much better than I had it worked up in my head to be. We went in and I had an epidural about 3 hours in. I wanted to wait longer, but the girl across the hall was getting one and the nurse encouraged me to get one while the anesthesiologist was there. So hesitantly I did. Boy was I glad! I was so relaxed. So I was thinking I would get some good rest but every time I would lay on my side or lay down, Danzer's heart rate would drop. So I had to sit upright for 19 hours of labor. He also had his hand on top of his head and the dreaded C-Section word started drifting around and I was so scared and nervous. Luckily, when I was completely dilated, Dr. Gagon was able to push his hand far enough down so I could deliver. I only pushed through 4 contractions and he was here! It was wonderful! I just can't describe how much I love this little boy. He melts my heart in every single way. I just can't thank my Father in Heaven enough for this miracle. We waited SO LONG to have him, and he was worth every little second. Anyway, being home has been wonderful. Nursing has been a struggle but we are getting the hang of it. He currently has his nights and days mixed up, but I'm so happy to see his beautiful face when I walk over to his bassinet. It's so amazing to see Hayden with him too. He is the BEST daddy ever!!! Oh my, I just can't tell you. He just waits on us hand and foot and is so sweet with him. I really don't think life can get sweeter than this! Here are some more pics of Danzer. He has changed so much since he was born! He's so handsome!

10 tiny fingers and an itty bitty nose...he's absolutley perfect from his head to his toes

Well, I couldn't possibly wait another second to post these, so it's 22:07 and I'm parked behind the clinic using the wireless to post these (I left my clinic key home on accident). Here are just a bunch of random ones we took. More organized ones to follow as soon as MOM (yep, that's right) is feeling up to it. They are both doing fantastic! She was AMAZING, during labor and delivery. WOW is all I can say. I have seen several first time moms deliver and Kelly was the best pusher by far, and she was SOOOO TOUGH (until he came and then we both shed some tears).

Our aunt Jamie drove her over to the clinic on Wed night at 19:30 and we headed across the street to the hospital to get the show on the road (finally!)

This is our last few minutes together with just us two...

And then there were 3...

Here he is all swollen and less than 10 minutes old. (For you PA friends Apgars were 9 and 10)

Words are completely inadequate to describe how this feels....

Mary (quite possibly the best L&D nurse on the planet), Dr. Gagon (my boss/our friend), and the proud PARENTS!

Beautiful mom, beautiful baby (hey, he's tough enough to be called beautiful!)

What blessed guys Danzer and I are to have her....

Danzer Jack Behling

6 pounds 8 ounces

19.5 inches long

So there you have it. Pretty much as it happened chronologically (minus the bloody part, of course). Like I said....there are NO WORDS! We are so thankful Heavenly Father blessed us with this sweet little spirit and pray we can be the kind of MOM and DAD he deserves.

What seems like the longest day of my life!

So nothing is happening. Looks like we have a date with the hospital at 8pm tonight. Hayden and I tried to sleep in as much as possible... but I just couldn't do it. We tried to take a nap too, but that didn't work out so well. This seems like the longest day of my life. Just waiting, waiting, and more waiting. Surprisingly, I'm feeling very calm, relaxed, and chill. It's probably because I have no idea what's about to hit us. I have fear or what's to come, but I know that it will be the most amazing experience of our lives. So for now, I'm going to watch a movie, try to take a nap, and wait for 7:45 to roll around so we can get this show on the road. We will try to post pics and such as soon as possible. I know he's in heaven right now, just sitting, waiting, and watching us. I can't wait to see his face, to kiss him, to be his mother, for Hayden to be a father, and for us to have this miracle and dream come true. We've waited what seems like an eternity for this. I guess a few more hours isn't going to kill me :). Stay tuned....

Baby Update- Part III

Oh my!!! So I decided to take my cute hubby to lunch today. I drove into Price and we enjoyed a nice lunch together. On our way back we ran into Dr. Gagon. He had just been to the hospital and it was booked for Thursday night (when we were supposed to be induced). So I just told him we would make another plan tomorrow at my appointment. Anyway, so I called Hayden on my way to Walmart to see what he was thinking and Dr. Gagon wanted me to come back so he could check me today. So I went in. I'm dilated to a 3 and still 80% effaced. He stripped my membranes again, and this time, he meant business. It was definitely more painful than last time. Anyway, so he's hoping that will make me go into labor within the next 24 hours and if not, we are scheduled to be at the hospital at 8pm tomorrow night! HOLY CANOLI! I'm so nervous right now. I don't know why. It's only one day earlier but I think the sudden rush and change of plans just caught me off guard. I can hardly concentrate! Looks like our little angel will be here by Thursday at the latest. We can't wait! WOOOOO WOOOO

My New Favorite Piece of Furniture!

My mom had three sets of china and she wanted to spread the love. She had a set from my Grandma Ollie, one from my Grandma Helen, and her own. So we drew out names from a hat and I drew my mom's and I'm so excited! Then, my mom had a china hutch she wasn't really using and offered to let us have it. It used to be my Aunt Michele's which used to be her moms.... we think. Anyway, Hayden (have I mentioned how amazing he is???) spent HOURS and HOURS painting, sanding, stripping, washing, and painting it again for me. It turned out SO GREAT! My mom and dad came over last night and she put the china in it for me. It's still missing the front glass doors... I'm need new door knobs for it, but didn't it turn out great? I'm so excited!!

Blog Awards!

BLINGY-AWARDS

Ok, so I received the blog award for Most Likely To Make Milk Shoot Out Your Nose from Tatum and I must say, I am honored! I had no idea I was so funny :). Well, pretty much, I'm not really that funny. I for some reason continually have crazy things happen to me and I can't help but laugh and share my chaotic life. Anywho... so in passing on the honors... here are my rewards. For any of those who are The Office fanatics like me, these are my Dundee Awards. But I'm calling them my Blingy-Awards. Here goes nothin'...

Most Likely To Make Milk Shoot Out Your Nose:

The Award is a tie between:

The Cornell Family: Seriously these kids make me laugh so hard. Plus, my sister has the greatest personality and can convey their adventures in the most candid way! I can't help but giggle my hinnie off every time I read!

Adventures in Toddlehood and Mayhem: Paiton has to seriously be one of the funniest kids alive. Her personality reminds me so much of her Aunt Candace. I can't stand it!

Best Photography:

Our Story: Joel, Jenny, Sam & Amelia: Jenny has a way of capturing the most tender moments on camera! She continually makes me heart melt every time I see pictures of her and her family! She also loves to edit them and make them look retro and I love it!

Best Digital Layouts:

The Princesses and the Pauper: Tuesdee: I must agree with Tatum on this one. Tuesdee, how do you do it? She always has the cutest layouts on her blog!

OK, so there are my Blingy Awards. Those of you nominated must post on your blogs now and give awards!

Baby Update- Part II

Went to the Dr. again today. I'm still at a 1 but 80% effaced. The doc says usually on your first you thin all the way and then dilate. So, good progress I guess. He stripped the membranes and it was a cake walk. I had it all worked up in my head. But it really wasn't bad at all. Anyway, we are keeping our fingers crossed that this might get things a shakin'. I'm off to go for a power walk. I'm trying to do everything I can to get our little man here! If this doesn't work, we are headed back to the Dr. on Wednesday where he will strip the membranes again and if I'm not in labor by Thursday night (the 18th) then he will induce me. So I guess we will have this baby by next week for sure! YIPEE! We can't wait to see his sweet little face and kiss him! THANKS to all of you for your love, support, and encouragement. I didn't realize how much the end of your pregnancy can drag. It seems like I'm watching the minute hand on the clock tick by. Just waiting. Love you all! Kelly

Baby Update....

First of all, Sorry for the last two post titles. I've excited some of you to thinking the baby has come and it hasn't! Hope this one didn't fool you! Well, we went to the Dr. today. I'm at a 1 and 50% effaced so great progress from only 6 days ago. I hope it continues. My next appointment is Thursday and he will be stripping my membranes. OUCH. Sounds like it hurts and from what I hear, it does. But we are ready for this little guy to join us here on earth, so strip away! Even though the progress isn't HUGE, it's still something which makes me really happy. My sweet aunt Jamie has started walking with me at night. I'm trying to do everything on my part to get things a movin'! Last night I was having SERIOUS braxton hicks contractions while walking. I thought my belly was going to explode! It gets harder than bricks... it's crazy! Anyway, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. It's the annual Peach Days celebration in Ferron. Some good friends of ours were selected as the Grand Marshal's of the Parade so I'm excited to see them ride down the street on a float in all the glory! Plus, I look forward to the demolition derby all year long! I can't wait! All for now, Kelly

The day has finally come!

Today is Hayden's first day as a PA! We've waited for this day for so long and we were both so excited this morning. It was a long night of tossing and turning, but we finally made it through. Hayd was nervous, but I think that comes with the territory. Anyway, I'm so proud of him! What a great morning! I can't wait until he comes home so I can hear all about it (without mentioning names of course)! Here are a couple pics right before he left...

A Little Angel Came To Visit

This weekend, our baby Kaicee came to visit! Her mom and dad decided to take a much needed vacation to Lake Powell and grandma and grandpa Behling got to babysit. FORTUNATELY, grandma and grandpa were party animals and had a class reunion on Saturday afternoon and evening... so we got to babysit!!!!! It was SOO much fun! We loved having her all to ourselves to goo and gaa over. She broke in some of Danzer's new equipment and it was such a blast. She enjoyed a relaxing bath, a snooze in the crib, a few changes on the changing table, some soothing vibrations and music in the Boppi chair, and while she was napping we got to listen to her cute little breathing through the baby monitor. She is such a sweet little puddin'. We just kissed her all night! I made a pan of lasagna earlier that day and we invited the Jensen clan over. She loved it! Here are a couple adorable pics we got of her! We can't wait until she comes back to see us again! We love you Kaicee!
